Secondary English Tutor - Chester Location: Chester Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: October 2026 Duration: Ongoing Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting an experienced Secondary English Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to a learner in Chester. The successful tutor will be able to create engaging English sessions, adapt learning to the learner's needs and help develop both subject knowledge and confidence. Key Responsibilities Deliver individualised English tuition Support reading, writing and comprehension Develop literacy and communication skills Plan lessons around learner ability and targets Adapt resources and teaching approaches Encourage engagement and independent learning Monitor academic progress Requirements Strong English subject knowledge Previous teaching or tutoring experience Experience working with secondary-aged learners Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to adapt lessons to different learning needs Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Right to Work in the UK Two professional child-related references Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business and education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy
