Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Colchester - ASAP Start Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Colchester, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. The school is looking for a confident and committed practitioner with strong behaviour management skills, experience supporting pupils across the primary age range, and the ability to lead learning activities and cover lessons when required. 📌 CONTRACT DETAILS Location - Colchester Position - Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Type of work - Classroom support, interventions, and lesson cover Start date - ASAP Duration - Ongoing / Long-term Full time/part-time - Full time Rate of pay - £100-£120 per day (depending on experience) Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm 📚 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience working within a UK primary school HLTA qualification or equivalent experience desirable Experience delivering interventions and covering lessons Strong understanding of the primary curriculum Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable) ✔️ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one Provide two professional child-related references 💼 OTHER INFORMATION If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with an up-to-date CV.
