SEND Tutor - Wigan Location: Wigan Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: October 2026 Duration: Ongoing Prospero Teaching are looking for a dedicated SEND Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a learner in Wigan. This opportunity would suit an experienced educator who is confident adapting their approach and creating a calm, supportive learning environment tailored to individual needs. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition Plan lessons around individual learning needs Adapt resources and teaching strategies Support academic progress and learner confidence Encourage positive engagement with education Build a strong professional relationship with the learner Monitor and communicate progress Requirements Experience working with children or young people Previous experience supporting learners with SEND Patient, adaptable and encouraging approach Strong communication skills Teaching qualification or relevant tutoring experience desirable Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Right to Work in the UK Two professional child-related references Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business and education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy
