Junior Assembly Technician

Assembly OperatorAre you a recent Engineering graduate or college leaver looking to start your career in a hands on engineering environment? This is a great opportunity to join a globally recognised engineering company that designs and manufactures cutting-edge automation technology used across a range of high-tech industries. As an Assembly Operator, you’ll be trained to build, test and repair precision-engineered products, working from engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions. You’ll use hand tools and test equipment while developing valuable practical engineering skills. You don’t need years of experience. We’re open to junior candidates with around a year of experience, including people who have gained practical skills through engineering hobbies or personal projects, such as repairing cars, rebuilding engines, fixing machinery or enjoying hands on projects. The company offers flexible working hours, with core hours from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Most engineers typically work 7:00 am to 4:30pm. It’s also an exciting time to join, with a major renovation of the manufacturing shop floor starting in November, creating a modern working environment and supporting the business's continued growth. Requirements: - HND, HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing or another relevant Engineering discipline. - Around 1 year of practical experience in assembly, manufacturing, engineering, testing or repair is ideal. - Alternatively, strong practical experience through hobbies, personal projects or DIY and mechanical work. - Comfortable using basic hand tools or keen to develop these skills. - Able to read or learn to read basic engineering drawings and documentation
