Electronics Engineer Long Eaton £35,000-£41000 An established UK product development business is looking for a Junior / Mid-Level Electronics Engineer to join their multidisciplinary R&D team. This is a hands-on role covering the full lifecycle of custom electronic systems and will focus on a lot on analog design. What You’ll Be Doing * Hardware & Firmware Design: Develop electronic hardware and embedded firmware for data acquisition, control, and instrumentation systems. * System Integration: Integrate PCBs with microcontrollers, sensors, drives, and supporting software applications. * Testing & Prototyping: Conduct hands-on testing, debugging, and verification of prototype builds and existing product firmware. * Compliance & Support: Help ensure designs align with EMC, electrical safety, REACH, and RoHS standards while supporting end-of-line manufacturing and component obsolescence tasks. What We’re Looking For * Dual-Skill Focus: Practical exposure to both electronic hardware design (PCB/schematics) and embedded firmware development. * Hands-on Debugging: Experience testing and troubleshooting circuits and microcontrollers on the bench. * Foundational Knowledge: Degree or equivalent experience in Electronics/Embedded Engineering, with understanding of basic sensors, instrumentation, and compliance standards.
