Special Needs Teaching Assistant  Location: Market Harborough Hours: 4 or 5 days per week Contract: Long-term, ongoing Start: ASAP Agency: Smile Education Smile Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a small SEN School on a long-term basis, working with pupils with autism and additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND, helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally within a specialist school environment. I have visited this school and it's sister school and they are fantastic provisions with amazing staff and facilities. The role: Supporting pupils with autism  Providing in class support to a range of ages Helping pupils engage with learning and classroom activities Supporting communication, independence and positive behaviour Working closely with teachers and the wider school team Creating a calm, supportive and nurturing environmentWe are looking for someone who: Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEND/autism but training will be provided Is patient and caring Can build positive relationships with pupils Is confident working as part of a team Is committed to making a genuine difference to pupils' livesWhy work with Smile Education?
