Transport Operator

Transport Operator- London Gateway, Essex Our client who are a transport Company are currently looking for an experienced Container Transport Operator to join their team at London Gateway. As Transport Operator, you will be tasked to route plan company owned vehicles across the UK. Job type: Permanent Salary: Up to £45,000 Hours: Monday to Friday | 08:00- 18:00 (1 hour break) Day-to-day: Routing company owned vehicles You must plan routes as cost-effectively as possible Plan routes in line with WTD and Drivers Hours Ensure all customers are kept up to date All necessary admin must be completed You will be working with the Manager to ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with company standards Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g. costing, agreeing charge rates with contractors, queries in accordance with the companies' requirements.The Requirements: Extensive UK Transport route planning skills Container is experience required Excellent UK geographical knowledge Strong communication skills TOPS, Destin8 and VBS Systems knowledge - required WR Logistics are a leading recruitment partner for the logistics and supply chain industry, recruiting across the UK, Europe, and the USA for permanent opportunities.
