PLC / Controls Engineers – Contract Location: UK-wide/London/Home Counties Job Type: Contract Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience Start: Variable We are looking for experienced PLC / Controls Engineers to support intralogistics and manufacturing projects across the UK. The Role * PLC programming, configuration, testing and commissioning of automated material handling and manufacturing systems. * Fault finding and diagnostics across PLC, HMI, controls and automation systems. * Supporting the commissioning and integration of conveyors, sortation, automated machinery and associated equipment. * Working from electrical schematics, control panels and technical documentation. * Software modifications, optimisation and system troubleshooting. * Supporting site acceptance testing and project handover. * Working closely with electrical, mechanical and commissioning teams. * Completing technical reports and site documentation. * Potential UK-wide travel with occasional overnight stays. Requirements * Proven experience as a PLC / Controls / Automation Engineer. * Experience within intralogistics, automation, manufacturing or industrial environments is ideal. * Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience. * Experience with Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley or similar PLC platforms. * Good understanding of industrial automation, controls and electrical systems. * Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation. * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. * Full UK driving licence. * Flexible to travel and work away when required.
