Security Guard Location: Watford, WD25 Salary: £36,565 per annum, negotioable for the right person Hours: 6:00am to 5:15pm Monday– Friday, Alternate Saturdays 7:00am to 4:15pm About The Role: As the Security Guard you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises, customers, and staff. This security guard role requires a proactive individual who can handle a variety of situations calmly and efficiently. Benefits: * Perkbox – 24/7 discounts, wellbeing support, online GP access & more * Company Pension Scheme * Group Life Assurance (up to 3x salary, subject to service) * Staff Discount on all products * Cycle to Work Scheme * Employee Assistance Programme * Long Service Awards * 23 days annual leave + bank holidays + your birthday off Responsibilities: * Liaise with the store manager on any aspect of theft or security. * Check for customers who behave suspiciously and carry out search of suspects. * Check and collect customer receipts. * Patrol all areas of the shop, including blind spots not just exits and counter. * Patrol back yard and alleyway. * Check showroom, basement, and storeroom. * Log all incidents to discuss with the store manager on a weekly basis. * Carry out random spot checks * Check premises at close of day and leave with the last member of staff. * Monitor traffic wardens outside the store and notify any customers who have vehicles parked outside. * Check delivery tickets on company vehicles. Requirements: * Previous experience in a similar security guard role is essential * SIA Licence * Honesty and integrity * Good observational skills * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * The ability to handle sensitive situations and to use initiative to make quick decisions
