Quality Assurance Engineer

QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER – EXETER 📍 Location: Exeter, Devon 🏗️ Sector: Civil Engineering / Groundworks 📅 Start: Immediate / ASAP 💷 Competitive Rate – Depending on Experience We are currently looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join a major construction project in Exeter. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining quality standards across the groundworks and civil engineering package. Scope of works includes: • Groundworks • Reinforced concrete slabs • Foundations • Drainage and underground services • Concrete works • Excavations and backfilling • Associated civil engineering works Key Responsibilities: • Implement and maintain project QA/QC procedures • Prepare and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) • Complete and maintain quality records and inspection documentation • Carry out inspections of works against drawings, specifications and ITP requirements • Manage concrete records, pour documentation and associated quality checks • Monitor drainage, foundations, reinforcement and slab installations • Raise, manage and close out NCRs • Coordinate with Site Engineers, Site Management and subcontractors • Ensure works comply with project specifications, drawings and relevant standards • Compile handover and quality assurance documentation • Maintain accurate records throughout the project The ideal candidate will have: • Previous QA/Quality Engineering experience within construction or civil engineering • Strong groundworks and reinforced concrete experience • Good understanding of foundations, slabs and drainage • Experience producing and managing ITPs and quality records • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work closely with site teams This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy civil engineering project in Exeter with a substantial groundworks package. 📩 Interested?
