No previous funeral experience needed — just the right mindset, professionalism, and willingness to learn. What You’ll Do Support funeral services as a driver and bearer, ensuring dignity throughout Take part in a 24/7 on‑call rota (approx. one week in three) Assist with the care of the deceased and accurate handling of belongings Help prepare coffins, caskets, and the funeral home Maintain vehicles to exceptionally high standards Ensure services run smoothly, including checking floral tributes Work calmly and respectfully with families and colleagues What You Need Full UK driving licence Able to reach the office within 60 minutes when on call Physically fit and comfortable with lifting and hands‑on work Dependable, organised, and calm under pressure Strong communication skills and a naturally empathetic approach Team-focused attitude and willingness to learn What’s on Offer Realistic earnings circa £32,000 Full training and long-term career development Supportive, family-run environment Meaningful, varied work where you genuinely make a difference If you’re dependable, practical, and looking for a role with purpose — we’d love to hear from you
