Vehicle Technician

The Role: Silcom Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a well-established independent automotive workshop based in Poole, who are looking to appoint an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their skilled and knowledgeable team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded workshop offering dealer-level servicing, diagnostics, MOT and repair work across a wide variety of makes and models, including modern, classic, performance, hybrid and electric vehicles. The successful Vehicle Technician will work within a fully equipped workshop using modern diagnostic equipment, carrying out servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs to a consistently high standard. Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician: Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs across a wide range of vehicle makes and models. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment. Complete vehicle inspections and identify any additional maintenance or repair requirements. Work on a varied range of vehicles, including modern, classic and performance models. Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately and to a high professional standard. Previous experience working within a reputable independent garage or main dealership environment is required. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is highly desirable. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities would be advantageous. A valid UK driving licence is essential. The Package: Salary: Up to £35,000 - £45,000 basic. Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm - No Weekends, closed bank holidays and Christmas shut down! Modern workshop facilities with up-to-date diagnostic equipment.
