Service Desk Coordinator

GBR Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading specialist vehicle company, recruiting for a temporary Service Desk Coordinator to carry out a host of administration & coordination activities in support of the service department & workshop. Temporary 6 months fixed term contract, starting ASAP! If you have experience within specialist vehicles, plant machinery, agricultural tractors, off highway machinery or similar within a service department,then this is the ideal role for you, apply today! Responsibilities * Provide administrative support to the Service Desk team in the planning, dispatch, and coordination of engineers and parts for customer requirements. * Prepare and issue repair quotations and estimates, proactively following up with customers to secure authorisation and maximise service opportunities. * Monitor maintenance contracts to ensure planned services are scheduled and completed within required timeframes. * Track contracted service hours, ensuring accurate recording and reporting. * Monitor contract renewal dates and proactively engage with customers regarding renewal opportunities. * Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure engineer job files are complete, accurate, and contain all necessary documentation and supporting information. * Support the delivery of marketing initiatives, customer campaigns, and promotional activities, including customer follow-up activities. * Monitor engineer job progress and assist Service Controllers in identifying and coordinating next actions, including repeat visits, parts ordering, customer communication, and job closure. * Assist in the resolution of customer queries and provide timely updates on service activity. * Provide general administrative support to engineers, Service Controllers, and the wider Service Department as required.
