Site Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways scheme in Swindon. The Role As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the site team with the technical delivery of the project, including setting out, surveying and ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities * Setting out and surveying on a major highways scheme * Checking levels, dimensions and coordinates * Working from engineering drawings and specifications * Quality assurance and quality control * Producing as-built information * Supporting the Site Agent and wider engineering team * Liaising with subcontractors and site teams * Monitoring works against programme and specifications * Assisting with earthworks, drainage and highways activities * Maintaining accurate site records Requirements * Previous experience as a Site Engineer on highways/civil engineering projects * Strong setting-out and surveying experience * Experience working with total stations, GPS and other surveying equipment * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Highways, earthworks and/or drainage experience * Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience * CSCS * Strong communication and organisational skills Package * £300 – £400 per shift * Immediate start available * Long-term freelance opportunity * Major highways project * Opportunity to work with an established civil engineering contractor If you are an experienced Site Engineer looking for your next freelance opportunity in the Swindon area, we would be keen to hear from you.
