Vehicle Technician

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Vehicle Technician to join a dedicated warranty team in Castle Donington. This Vehicle Technician role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking a position that balances technical expertise with customer interaction. The successful individual will play a vital part in ensuring quick and efficient diagnosis, repair, and fault resolution, contributing to enhanced customer satisfaction. Benefits for the successful Vehicle Technician: Competitive salary of up to £37,000 per annum Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:30pm, with an early finish on Friday at 5:00pm Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment Training and development opportunities within a specialised warranty team Supportive team environment with a focus on reducing customer waiting times Modern diagnostic equipment and facilitiesDuties of the Vehicle Technician: Conduct diagnostics on customer vehicles to identify faults accurately and efficiently Carry out road tests alongside customers to verify vehicle issues Clearly communicate diagnostic findings and repair requirements to customers Fit minor parts and trims as required to expedite the repair process Perform minor repairs to facilitate swift vehicle turnaround Maintain thorough records of diagnostics, repairs, and parts used Work collaboratively with the warranty team to optimise workflow and customer service Ensure all work adheres to safety and quality standards Provide professional and courteous assistance to customers throughout the processRequirements: Previous experience as a qualified Vehicle Technician IMI Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Experience with modern diagnostic equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A confident, professional, and customer-focused approach Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines Experience in customer-facing, warranty, mobile, or roadside environments would be advantageous Full UK driving licenseContact Billy Peasgood, Automotive Recruitment Specialist at Perfect Placement covering Castle Donington and Derbyshire, today to discover more about this fantastic opportunity.
