Hydraulic Modeller Manchester | £35,000 - £50,000 A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to recruit a Hydraulic Modeller to join their established flood risk and water team in Manchester. The role will involve working on a range of flood risk, drainage and water environment projects across the UK, with the opportunity to develop technically within a growing team. The Role Developing and running 1D and 2D hydraulic models Flood risk assessments and flood mapping Surface water, fluvial and drainage modelling Model build, verification, calibration and sensitivity testing Analysis and interpretation of hydraulic modelling outputs Preparing technical reports and flood risk assessments Supporting the development of drainage and flood mitigation schemes Working with GIS data and producing flood mapping Liaising with clients, local authorities and other project stakeholders Supporting multidisciplinary teams across wider water and infrastructure projects Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Hydrology, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline Previous experience in hydraulic modelling or flood risk consultancy Experience using Flood Modeller and/or TUFLOW Good understanding of UK flood risk and drainage principles Experience with GIS, particularly ArcGIS or QGIS, would be beneficial Strong technical report writing skills Good communication and project management skills Full UK driving licenceThis is an excellent opportunity for a Hydraulic Modeller looking to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy, working on a varied project portfolio with opportunities for technical development and career progression
