Director of Sales and Marketing

As the business continues to grow, a new role has been created on the Executive Board to shape the next phase of that growth. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a newly created Director of Sales & Marketing position sitting at the heart of the leadership team. This is a strategic, board-level role rather than a hands-on sales management position. You'll unite sales and marketing around a single growth strategy, using customer insight, market intelligence and proposition development to shape the company's future direction, products, channels and market position. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐞𝐭 * £90,000 - £100,000 basic salary * Hybrid / Flexible working / Competitive executive-level reward package * Generous Additional Variable Earnings (AVE) * Car entitlement and optional employee car scheme * Attractive pension provision / Loyalty bonus and long-service recognition * BUPA private medical insurance / Annual health assessments and flu vaccinations / Health cash plan covering dental and optical care * Employee Assistance Programme for confidential support * A seat on the Executive Board of a growing, innovative business 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 * Defining and delivering the long-term Sales & Marketing strategy for the business * Setting strategic priorities across customer segments, channels, partnerships and market opportunities * Identifying emerging market shifts and commercial trends that could impact future growth * Creating a single, joined-up commercial strategy and performance narrative across all routes to market * Building sustainable competitive advantage through brand positioning, proposition evolution and strategic partnerships * Defining the commercial performance framework that drives growth, market share and customer acquisition * Ensuring customer, competitor and market insight informs strategic decision-making * Leading the evolution of products, propositions and routes to market * Contributing to strategic leadership as a member of the Executive Board, shaping culture and commercial priorities * Building and leading high-performing sales and marketing teams * Acting as an ambassador for the business, engaging and aligning colleagues behind its strategic priorities 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞'𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 * Senior leadership experience influencing at Executive, Board or senior leadership level * Senior leadership experience within a Sales or Marketing related role * Strong commercial judgement, market awareness and strategic decision-making capability * Experience shaping sales & marketing strategy and commercial performance at Executive or Board level * A proven track record of delivering sustainable revenue growth and ambitious commercial targets * Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies and customer acquisition programmes * Experience developing strategic partnerships and managing key customer relationships * Strong communication, influencing and followership skills * Desirable: automotive, automotive finance, leasing, employee benefits or financial services experience * Desirable: ownership of brand strategy, market positioning and proposition development This is a rare chance to join an Executive Board and shape the commercial future of a genuinely market-leading business.
