Civil & Drainage Operative Up to £42,000 Woolpit & Surrounding Areas Full time | Permanent | 7.00am - 5.00pm  Do you have experience working in Civils/Groundworks/ Drainage Systems? Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider. We are currently recruiting for a Civils & Drainage Operative to join their team. The successful candidate will assist with drainage installations, sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, groundworks and general civil engineering works. They must be willing to work safely, maintain a high standard of workmanship and work effectively as part of a team. In return, we offer a competitive salary up to £42,000 DOE, company van, pension contribution,  20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, ongoing training opportunities, and career progression within a growing civil engineering business. This role is full-time and permanent. Monday - Friday 7.00am - 5.30pm Some overtime, early starts or occasional weekend work may be required depending on site locations and project requirements Reporting to the Operations Manager your responsibilities will include: Installing foul-water and surface-water drainage systems. Laying PVC, clay, concrete and rising-main pipework to the correct line and level. Installing manholes, inspection chambers, catchpits and channel drains. Installing sewage treatment plants, septic tanks and pumping stations. Constructing drainage fields, soakaways and attenuation systems. Excavating trenches and foundations by hand or using plant machinery. Preparing concrete bases and carrying out concrete works. Kerbing, edgings, block paving and minor tarmac reinstatement. Reinstating gardens, driveways, roads and other working areas following completion. Breaking out concrete and removing excavated materials. Assisting with lifting operations and the installation of tanks and chambers. Operating excavators, dumpers, rollers and other site equipment where appropriately trained. Carrying out basic maintenance and cleaning of tools, plant and company vehicles. The Requirements for this role are: Proven experience in civils and groundworks Experience installing treatment plants and drainage systems Valid CSCS card (preferred) CPCS/NPORS plant tickets (advantageous) Full UK Driving Licence (preferred) Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team For more information on our Civil & Drainage Operative role, please contact Dan in the Attega Group offices today
