Remote working ** We are partnering with a large and growing organisation with a significant portfolio as they appoint a Head of Health and Safety to provide strategic leadership across their operational and property services function. This is a senior leadership role focused on setting the Health & Safety strategy, strengthening governance and assurance, and creating a consistent approach across a complex, multi-site operation and dispersed workforce. A key part of the role is working closely with regional and operational leadership teams to set clear standards, improve safety performance and ensure effective assurance across day-to-day property and maintenance activities. You’ll also play an important role in supporting continued growth and organisational change, providing expert Health & Safety guidance, challenging where required and helping embed a strong, practical safety culture across the workforce. This is a highly visible role where credibility and communication will be just as important as technical expertise. You’ll need to be comfortable operating with senior leadership whilst remaining closely connected to operational teams and frontline colleagues. The opportunity would suit an experienced Health & Safety leader from social housing, property services, DLO, maintenance, FM or a similar operational environment, with strong knowledge of CDM, management systems and UK Health & Safety legislation. With genuine scope to shape the function and progress into a Director-level position, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact within an organisation going through an exciting period of growth and development.
