Manual Machinist Location: Blackburn, Lancashire Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (4-day working week) Salary: Competitive / dependent on experience Permanent, Full-Time Engineering Connect are recruiting for an experienced Manual Machinist to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in the Blackburn area. This is a permanent position working a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday, within a busy engineering environment carrying out small batch precision machining. The Role: • Operating manual milling machines, pillar drills and lathes • Machining precision components for small batch work • Working from engineering drawings • Using measuring equipment to check components and tolerances • Ensuring work is completed accurately and to a high standard • Working to production deadlines and targets • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment The Person: • Previous manual machining experience • Experience using milling machines, pillar drills and/or lathes • Must have previously worked within an engineering/manufacturing environment • Able to read and understand engineering drawings • Confident using engineering measuring equipment • Mechanically minded with a hands-on approach • Good attention to detail This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manual Machinist looking for a secure, permanent position with the benefit of a 4-day working week and every Friday off.
