Our client is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their established team in Huncote, Leicestershire. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a HGV Technician with extensive mechanical and electrical diagnostic experience to work across a diverse range of vehicles and equipment. Benefits: Competitive hourly rate of up to £23.00 depending on experience 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with negotiable start times for early or late shifts Company pension scheme Health and wellbeing programme Life insurance at three times annual salary Birthday leave Free on-site parking Uniform provided Learning and development opportunities Opportunities for career progression Working on a variety of vehicles including HGVs, trailers, and plant equipmentDuties of a HGV Technician: Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults on HGVs, trailers, and plant machinery Servicing and preventative maintenance, including six-weekly inspections Conducting MOT preparation and repairs Repairing telehandlers, loading shovels, excavators, and access platform cherry pickers Attending breakdowns and performing roadside diagnostics on a rota basis Maintaining accurate records of work, parts used, and time allocated Communicating effectively with colleagues and clients regarding repairs, parts, and timings Adhering to health and safety protocols at all timesRequirements of a HGV Technician: Minimum 4 years’ practical experience as an HGV and/or plant mechanic Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills Experience working on multi-brand vehicles IRTEC certification (desirable but not essential) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable with a professional work ethic Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills Willingness to learn new skills and develop professionally Desirable qualifications include welding, fabrication, hydraulic systems knowledge, and experience with hydraulic or RORO equipmentIf you are a dedicated HGV Technician or Plant Mechanic seeking a challenging role with a reputable employer, this opportunity offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and scope for further development.
