Bid Writer – Social Housing 📍 Romford, Essex 💰 Up to £50,000 📋 Permanent | Full-Time We’re working with an established construction and property services contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Bid Writer to join their team in Romford. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in social housing, repairs & maintenance, refurbishment or construction who wants to play a key role in winning new contracts and framework opportunities. The Role You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality, compelling tender submissions for housing associations, local authorities and other public-sector clients. Key responsibilities include: * Managing bids from initial opportunity through to final submission * Writing and coordinating PQQs, SQs, ITTs and framework submissions * Reviewing tender documentation and identifying key requirements * Producing high-quality technical and quality responses * Developing method statements, case studies and project examples * Working closely with operational, commercial and technical teams * Gathering information from internal stakeholders and turning it into compelling bid content * Developing strong win themes and client-focused responses * Maintaining and developing the company's bid library * Ensuring submissions are accurate, compliant and delivered within deadlines * Supporting continuous improvement and lessons learned across the bid function About You We’re looking for someone who has: * Previous experience as a Bid Writer, Bid Manager, Proposal Writer or similar * Experience within social housing, property services, construction, repairs & maintenance or refurbishment * Strong knowledge of public-sector tendering and procurement * Excellent written English and attention to detail * Experience producing persuasive tender responses * The ability to manage multiple bids and tight deadlines * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills * Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and PowerPoint Experience with housing associations, local authorities, planned maintenance, refurbishment or public-sector frameworks would be highly advantageous.
