Toolmaker | £50,000–£60,000 DOE + Bonus A well-established manufacturer is looking for an experienced Toolmaker to keep production moving. This is a proper hands-on toolroom role. You will make, repair and maintain press tools, jigs and fixtures, get stuck into breakdowns when they happen, and help reduce downtime on the shop floor. The role * Make, assemble and repair press tools, jigs and fixtures * Strip, inspect, fault-find and rebuild tooling * Carry out preventative and reactive tool maintenance * Produce precision parts from engineering drawings * Use manual mills, lathes and grinders * Bench fit and assemble to tight tolerances * Support tool trials and modifications * Help production quickly when tooling goes down What we’re looking for * Proven toolmaking experience * Strong press tool, jig or fixture background * Confident reading drawings * Manual machining and bench fitting skills * Good fault-finding ability * CNC would be useful, but is not essential The package * £50,000–£60,000 DOE * Early finish Friday: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm, Friday 7:30am–1:00pm * Flexible hours where needed * Performance-related Christmas bon
