Evolve Staffing Ltd. is sourcing a dedicated Senior House Officer (SHO) in Ophthalmology on behalf of a leading NHS eye hospital in Bristol. This medical recruitment opportunity is perfectly suited for a clinician seeking hands-on clinical and surgical experience within a high-volume ophthalmology department. You will work closely with Specialist Registrars and Consultant Ophthalmologists, gaining invaluable exposure to acute eye emergencies, ward management, and ophthalmic theatre assistance. Core Clinical Responsibilities: * Provide first-line medical assessment and management for patients presenting to the acute eye emergency department. * Perform detailed slit-lamp examinations, intraocular pressure checks, and basic ophthalmic diagnostics. * Assist senior surgeons in ophthalmic theatres, particularly during routine cataract surgery and minor oculoplastic procedures. * Ensure accurate clinical documentation and safe patient handovers across the ophthalmology ward.
