Accounts Assistant

Job Title: Accounts Assistant (CIS experience essential) Salary: Up to £32,000 (negotiable dependant on experience & qualifications already achieved) Location: Derby Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Office-Based An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and growing construction business. You’ll play a key role within the finance team, supporting the day-to-day accounts function, including invoice processing, VAT, CIS and payroll. Responsibilities * Process purchase and subcontractor invoices for construction projects * Raise sales/customer invoices * Process payroll & subcontractor payments * Prepare and submit CIS returns and VAT returns * Ensure compliance with HMRC and construction industry regulations * Support month-end and year-end accounting processes * Provide wider support to the finance team and contribute to ad hoc finance tasks as required Requirements * Experience working as an Accounts Assistant or similar role * Previous experience working within the construction sector * Strong working knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) processes * Good Excel skills * A hardworking individual with a strong work ethic * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks * Excellent organisational and time management skills What's On Offer * 29 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays * Company pension scheme - 5% * Medical scheme * Life assurance * Join a reputable and highly established construction business This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to utilise their existing accounts experience, take on a varied role and continue developing their career within a busy construction environment
