Freelance Site Manager – Civils Location: Morpeth, Northumberland Duration: Long-term Contract: Freelance We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a long-term civils scheme in Morpeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of works on site, coordinating subcontractors and trades, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Managing the day-to-day operations of the site Supervising subcontractors and site teams Ensuring works are completed safely and in accordance with RAMS Coordinating site activities and maintaining programme Liaising with the Project Manager and wider site team Monitoring quality and ensuring works meet project specifications Maintaining site records and completing relevant documentation Ensuring health & safety standards are consistently maintained Requirements: Proven experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering Strong understanding of civils construction processes SMSTS CSCS First Aid Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively What's on Offer: Long-term freelance position Immediate/ongoing work on a major civils scheme Competitive freelance rate Opportunity for continued work beyond the initial contract Stable project with an established site team
