A defence solutions provider is seeking a Simulator Maintenance Engineer to provide technical support, ensuring the ongoing operation of simulator training equipment and carrying out maintenance and support. The Simulator Maintenance Engineer will have previous experience fault-finding, installation, commissioning, and maintaining equipment requiring multi-skilled engineering (electrical and mechanical). In addition, has proficiency in IT, be able to work under pressure and good customer service skills. Applications from ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged Key Responsibilities: First-line troubleshooting and fault resolution with the ability to work autonomously as required Responsible for fault finding, maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of simulation equipment Responsible for carrying out software, hardware, and basic network configuration Assess equipment performance so that it is available and ready for use Perform pre- and post-use simulator checks Complete technical reports and review technical data and drawings Excellent communication and administration skills, both written and verbal Comply with H&S guidelines at Company and customer site premises Knowledge, skills and qualifications: Essential: Working knowledge and experience of electrical and mechanical systems The ability to work under pressure and comply with strict timelines IT skills with proficiency in MS Teams and Office Good customer service skills Desirable: CompTIA Forklift or MEWP Salary: £36,400 Benefits: Training, Private medical (covers family), Life Assurance, 25 days hols, Pension (4%)
