PYRA Construction Solutions Passive Fire Estimator – Remote UK Salary: Up to £60,000 Location: Remote – UK Based Sector: Passive Fire Protection Coverage: UK PYRA Construction Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Passive Fire Estimator to join an established passive fire contractor. This is a remote position offering the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of passive fire projects throughout the UK. The Role * Price tenders for firestopping and compartmentation packages * Estimate planned and reactive maintenance contracts * Complete accurate take-offs from drawings, surveys and specifications * Build rates covering labour, materials, plant, access and preliminaries * Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors * Attend site visits, pre-tender meetings and client meetings when required * Provide clear and well-documented handovers of secured projects to Contracts and Commercial teams * Review completed projects against original estimates alongside the QS * Feed lessons learned back into future pricing and tendering Experience & Requirements * Proven estimating experience within the passive fire protection industry * Strong technical knowledge of firestopping and compartmentation * Experience with intumescent systems and fire doors is advantageous * Understanding of third-party accreditation, fire door standards and current fire safety legislation preferred * Confident reading drawings and specifications and producing accurate take-offs * Strong commercial awareness and judgement * Excellent Excel skills * Organised and methodical, with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Confident speaking with clients, suppliers and subcontractors over the phone * Full UK driving licence The Opportunity This would suit an experienced Passive Fire Estimator looking for a remote position with a salary of up to £60,000, working across a broad range of fire protection projects.
