Commissioning Engineer – Smoke Control Location: London & Greater London – travel required Salary: £40k - £50k Hours: Monday–Friday MUST HAVE SMOKE CONTROL / SMOKE VENTILATION EXPERIENCEWe are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in smoke control and smoke ventilation systems. This is a hands-on role covering installation, testing and commissioning of smoke control systems across a variety of building projects throughout London and Greater London. The RoleAs a Commissioning Engineer, you will: Install and commission smoke control systems Commission AOVs, smoke dampers and ventilation systems Test, balance and troubleshoot systems Complete electrical wiring and power distribution Integrate systems with BMS and fire alarm systems Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics Identify and resolve technical faults Ensure systems meet design and regulatory requirements Complete commissioning, service and progress reports Record airflow and system test results Work alongside Project Managers, Engineers, contractors and consultants Plan and prioritise work to meet project deadlines Supervise and support an Engineer or Apprentice when requiredAbout YouThe successful Commissioning Engineer will have: Essential: Smoke control / smoke ventilation experience Experience commissioning AOVs, smoke dampers and ventilation systems Strong electrical installation and commissioning experience Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of relevant fire safety and building regulations Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London & Greater LondonKey SkillsSmoke Control Smoke Ventilation AOV Smoke Dampers Ventilation Electrical Installation Commissioning BMS Fire Alarm Fault Finding Electrical Drawings If you're an experienced Commissioning Engineer with proven smoke control experience and are looking for a new opportunity covering London and Greater London, apply today
