PGCE Tutor Turn Your Training into Meaningful 1:1 Support We're looking for PGCE-qualified Tutors to support children and young people across Hampshire through personalised 1:1 tuition. Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored support to learners of all ages, from primary through to post-16 education. Many students require alternative educational provision due to SEND, anxiety, school avoidance, medical needs, or other barriers to learning. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a PGCE who are looking for flexible work that allows them to use their teaching skills in a more personalised setting while making a genuine difference to vulnerable learners. Location: Hampshire Age Range: Primary, Secondary & Post-16 Start Date: September Hours: Flexible Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour Type: 1:1 Tuition Requirements PGCE qualification Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including teaching, tutoring, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions Strong communication and relationship-building skills Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable Patient, adaptable, and learner-focused approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Hampshire Who You'll Support You may work with learners who have: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs ADHD Anxiety and school avoidance EHCPs and additional educational needs Gaps in education due to periods out of schoolEach learner requires a personalised approach, allowing you to use your teaching skills to build confidence, encourage engagement, and support progress.
