Registered Manager (Residential Childcare)

Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home (5-Bed) – Stockport Salary: £52,000 base, with performance-related bonuses taking total earnings up to £65,000 Hours: 9am–5pm We are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 5-bed children's residential home based in the Stockport area, supporting young people with a range of emotional and behavioural needs (EBD/SEMH). You will hold overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered in line with Ofsted regulations and the home's Statement of Purpose. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven manager to take ownership of a home and shape its culture, team, and outcomes for young people. Key responsibilities: * Full operational and regulatory responsibility for the home, including Ofsted compliance and inspection readiness * Line management, supervision, and development of the staff team, including recruitment and rota oversight * Ensuring high-quality, individualised care plans are delivered for each young person * Budget management and resource planning for the home * Building strong relationships with placing authorities, families, and external professionals * Driving continuous improvement in line with SCCIF and safeguarding standards What we're looking for: * A minimum of a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People), or working towards this * Proven experience as a Registered Manager or strong Deputy Manager ready to step up, within children's residential care * Sound knowledge of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding, and relevant legislation * Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team * Full UK driving licence (desirable) If this role sounds of interest, please apply with an up to date CV.
