Our client is seeking a dedicated Site Engineer to join their expanding team based in Hungerford. In this varied role you will maintain and repair machinery to keep production running efficiently within a supportive environment offering real scope for development. Why You'll Love This Role: * Excellent progression opportunities within a forward-thinking food manufacturing company * Work alongside a supportive team, reporting directly to the Chief Engineer and Production Manager * Develop your skills in mechanical, electrical, welding, and fabrication disciplines Pay & Shifts: * £45,500 per annum * Monday to Friday * Night Shift - 22:00pm to 06:00am * 37.5 hour week Key Responsibilities: * Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns and assist with machine adjustments * Diagnose and repair faults to minimise downtime * Maintain and update planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes * Assist with spare parts inventory management to ensure availability * Keep workshop and tools well-organised and tidy * Provide cover during colleagues’ absences and deputise for the Chief Engineer when required * Complete all relevant documentation accurately and on time * Ensure all work complies with UK health and safety regulations What We're Looking For: * Strong mechanical and engineering experience with basic electrical knowledge * Customer-focused attitude and excellent communication skills * Qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ, HND, or Degree desirable * Welding and fabrication skills a plus * Personable, professional, and well organised Aligra have been established since 2007 and have since implemented supply partnerships with a number of the UK’s leading logistics companies.
