Technical Sales Engineer - Renewable Energy London & South East £45,000-£60,000 + Commission | OTE £60,000-£80,000 We're recruiting a Technical Sales Engineer for a growing renewable energy specialist delivering high-quality heat pump, solar, battery storage and MVHR projects across London and the South East. This is a consultative sales role combining technical knowledge, site surveys, system specification and commercial sales, working with homeowners, architects, developers and contractors. The Role Manage enquiries from initial contact through to signed order Conduct site surveys and understand client requirements Recommend suitable heat pump, solar, battery and MVHR solutions Produce technical proposals, specifications and quotations Build relationships with architects, developers and consultants Manage a pipeline of residential and commercial projects Work closely with design and installation teams Follow up opportunities and close business Identify additional project and account opportunities The Candidate Experience in renewable energy, HVAC, heating or building services Strong technical knowledge of heat pumps Knowledge of solar PV, batteries or MVHR advantageous Background in technical sales, design, estimating or pre-sales Confident discussing solutions with architects and consultants Strong commercial and customer-facing skills Able to survey sites and understand technical drawings Full UK driving licence Package £45,000-£60,000 basic Commission with realistic OTE £60,000-£80,000 Company vehicle / EV scheme Pension Hybrid working Ongoing manufacturer training Excellent progression The Opportunity This is ideal for someone who understands renewable systems and wants a more commercially focused role without becoming a traditional hard-sales salesperson. You'll be selling technically strong, bespoke solutions and can progress into Senior Technical Sales, Key Accounts, Sales Management or Commercial Management.
