Quantity Surveyor - Contract Administration

Quantity Surveyor - Construction Manchester £50,000-£65,000 + Package We're recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a growing specialist HVAC and mechanical contractor based in Manchester. This role will focus heavily on contract administration and commercial control, supporting projects from award through to final account. The Role Manage the commercial performance of HVAC and mechanical projects Administer contracts and ensure contractual obligations are met Prepare and submit valuations and applications for payment Manage variations, change control and commercial notices Review subcontractor applications and accounts Support procurement and subcontractor appointments Monitor budgets, cost plans and project margins Produce forecasts and commercial reports Track contractual correspondence and key dates Support claims, extensions of time and loss & expense where required Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and Project Managers Manage final accounts and project close-out The Candidate Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, HVAC or M&E Strong understanding of contract administration Knowledge of common forms of contract such as JCT / NEC Good experience with valuations, variations and final accounts Strong commercial and contractual awareness Confident dealing with clients and subcontractors Excellent organisation and attention to detail Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management qualification preferred Package £50,000-£70,000 basic Pension Company benefits Ongoing professional development Strong career progression Exposure to a varied portfolio of HVAC and mechanical projects The Opportunity This is a strong role for a QS who enjoys the contractual side of project delivery, not just cost reporting. You'll have real ownership of contract administration, variations, notices, valuations and final accounts, with long-term progression into Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager.
