Job Title: Learning Support Assistant – Economics/ICT Location: Kensington (5 min walk from Ladbroke Grove station) Salary: £130/£135 per day (Umbrella) Days: 4 days Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm Contract Type: 1 year agency contract – Term Time Only Start Date: September 2026 – until July 2027 About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a highly supportive and successful team based within a 6th Form College. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO and teachers to support pupils’ learning, particularly those with additional needs, ensuring every child can reach their full potential. The college appoints on subject specialism basis and assigns you to work with students following subjects matching your background. This could be related to your academic qualifications or industry experience. I appreciate you may be looking for a teaching role, but please be aware career progression is offered at this college, there may be openings for teaching positions following completion of this role, alternatively there may also be opportunities to work within the pastoral department. Permanent contracts as an LSA could also be considered following a successful year. Key Responsibilities · Support individual pupils or small groups in the classroom · Assist in the delivery of tailored learning programmes · Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional, or behavioural challenges · Prepare learning materials and classroom resources · Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers About You We are looking for someone who: · Has experience working with children or young people (in school or similar setting) · Is patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting learning · Has good communication and teamwork skills Subject areas requiring support · Economics / ICT How to Apply To apply, please submit your CV and specify which subject/s areas you would like to support in.
