School Cleaner

Location: Romford Hours: 06:30–08:30 & 15:30–18:30 Pay: £12.71 per hour Job Type: Part-Time Job Description We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a school team and help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring classrooms, communal areas and other school facilities are cleaned to a high standard. Key Responsibilities * Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas. * Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors. * Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately. * Cleaning and sanitising surfaces and high-touch areas. * Ensuring cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely. * Reporting any maintenance, health and safety or cleaning issues. * Following school safeguarding, health and safety and cleaning procedures. * Maintaining a professional and friendly approach while working around pupils and staff. Working Hours Morning: 06:30–08:30 Afternoon: 15:30–18:30 Candidates must be available for both shifts. Requirements * Enhanced DBS required – candidates must hold a valid Enhanced DBS. * Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential. * Reliable, punctual and hardworking. * Good attention to detail. * Able to work independently and as part of a team. * Understanding of the importance of safeguarding within a school environment.
