Children’s Residential Support Worker (SEMH)– Adhoc Hailsham, East Sussex Flexible Adhoc / Temporary Shifts Competitive Hourly Rates We are currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Children’s Residential Support Workers to support SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) residential homes in East Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for support workers looking for flexible adhoc shifts that fit around existing commitments while making a real difference in young people’s lives. The role you will be supporting children and young people within residential settings, helping to provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment. Duties may include: Supporting young people with daily routines and activities Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Building trusted relationships and acting as a positive role model Supporting with education, appointments, and community activities Maintaining accurate records and reports Managing challenging behaviours in a calm and professional mannerRequirements Experience working within Children’s Residential Care A caring, resilient, and proactive approach Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins where required Excellent communication and teamwork skills Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred (or willingness to apply) Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential What We Offer Flexible adhoc shifts to suit your availability Weekly pay Competitive rates of pay Opportunities for regular work and long-term placementsIf you are passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and have experience within residential care, we would love to hear from you.
