Electrical Control Panel Wireperson Salary to £36,500 per year (equivalent to £18.00 per hour) Overtime paid at time-and-a-half Permanent Position, Factory-based Location: in the Cambourne - St. Neots area, Bedfordshire 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:30 start with an early finish every Friday (12:00 midday) Rural / out-of-town location - own transport required Permanent, workshop-based role building bespoke low-voltage control panels for industrial cooking/cooling equipment. You'll build and wire panels (Apply online only)V AC single/three-phase; 24V DC) from EPLAN schematics, mechanical layouts and BOMs. Responsibilities Build/wire panels incl. junction boxes, HMI enclosures, MCCs and multi-door cabinets Install/terminate: protection, relays, solenoids, inverter drives, soft starts, contactors, HMIs & PLCs (Mitsubishi/Allen Bradley/Siemens) Fabricate/assemble using hand & power tools; mark out on stainless/GRP/steel Continuity testing and basic functional checks; maintain safe, tidy workshop Requirements: Strong experience in electrical panel building and reading schematics/layout drawings Excellent wiring skills (crimping, ferrules, termination, routing) and AC/DC knowledge High attention to detail; able to work alone and in a team Desirable: Electrical qualifications/apprenticeship, EPLAN/BOM experience, food machinery/automation background Hours, overtime & benefits: 39 hrs Mon-Fri (early finish Friday); overtime available at 1.5x (Mon-Fri & Sat am) Annual bonus, 20 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 26), pension, life assurance, sick pay, workwear, subsidised vending, staff meals/events HRGO Recruitment offers permanent and temporary jobs across the UK.
