Mechanical Project Manager – Building Services Location: Leicester initially, then Wiltshire Start: November 2026 Duration: 9 months Package Value: £1.5m The Role We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to take responsibility for a £1.5m mechanical package on a major new-build construction project. The successful candidate will initially work on a finishing-stage project in Leicester from November 2026, before moving onto a new-build prison project in Wiltshire from January 2027. You will take ownership of the mechanical package from delivery through to completion, working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, site teams and the wider project team. Key Responsibilities * Manage the £1.5m mechanical package from start to completion. * Coordinate mechanical subcontractors and suppliers. * Manage programme, procurement, costs and project delivery. * Coordinate mechanical works with other trades and site teams. * Monitor quality, progress and health & safety. * Attend project meetings and liaise with clients and stakeholders. * Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging and handover. Requirements * Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, M&E Project Manager or Building Services Project Manager. * Strong mechanical/building-services background. * Experience managing substantial mechanical packages on construction projects. * Good understanding of programme, procurement and commercial management. * Strong subcontractor and site coordination experience. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * Ability to take ownership and deliver projects through to completion. Prison, custodial, secure environment, healthcare or public-sector experience would be highly advantageous, but is not essential.
