Skills and Experience: Previous experience changing and fitting conveyor belts on parcel handling conveyors. Strong mechanical engineering skills Belting splicing and repair (desirable) Ability to use a belt press (desirable) Job Purpose: Working with and supporting our Field Service Engineers, concerning all aspects of Belting ensuring we deliver a 1st class service to all our customer Replace, change and repaid belts at customer sites, supporting the field service engineers with specialist belting requirements. Key Responsibilities: Help in launching Belting division and producing manuals covering all aspects of belting Provide training to all our Field Service Engineers covering all belting requirements, ensuring all work is carried out in line with our high health & safety standards Carry out all types of service requests and repairs Roll out a training programme for all belting & field service engineers Liaise with engineering personnel to actively support innovation and improvements. Ensure effective, timely incident/accident reporting. Learn from incidents and develop strategies which prevent the same thing from happening again Ensure effective time management/prioritisation of workload Health & Safety Comply with all Company policies, site rules and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place and training of staff. Environmental Policy Shall participate in prescribed training programmes in order to familiarise themselves with the requirements of the Company Environmental Policy Should make suggestions to improve and protect the environment within the site to the appropriate Manager or Supervisor concerned, or to the Environmental Co-Ordinator Shall co-operate with the Company’s recycling programmed Shall co-operate with the Company’s energy programme Shall where possible, reduce waste within their area of work Personnel and Training To attend a review with your Line Manager and to agree and take ownership of your training and development needs. Attend Company and Legislative Training Courses as requested. General Responsibilities Maintain good client and colleague relationships Ensure that all written communication represent a professional image to customers, clients and staff. Comply with any reasonable instruction from your line manager within the agreed deadline. Comply with all Company policies/procedures and client site rules and regulations. Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed by management
