Ganger

Pinnacle Recruitment are currently looking for a Ganger to work for our client in Snodland on a contract basis. You will be leading a team of up to two operatives undertaking civils work on the drainage network. Duties * To receive and follow instructions given by the supervisor /civils manager * To undertake a daily pre-start, Point of Works Risk Assessment (POWRA) and brief the risk to your team members and to all visitors to site and get same to sign acknowledgement * To carry out civils work as described in the work order in a timely and safe fashion, including but not limited: dig down repair, manhole rebuilds/Covers, and AFD/interceptor install/removal * To order plant and materials via supervisor from site * To always wear and ensure that everyone else on site, including visitors, also wear the mandated and appropriate personal protective equipment (clothing) which is provided by the Company * To be able to use a hand-held device to capture the relevant information from the job * To complete paperwork in tidy and timely manner * To ensure that any vehicle you are driving is road worthy before you drive it by undertaking and recording daily vehicle checks including for trailers and towable plant * To ensure that any vehicle you drive is maintained clean and in good order * To work safely and in accordance with the training received, company work instruction and daily site-specific work risk (SSWR) assessments * To be available to participate in a call out Rota Requirements * Demonstrates consistent courtesy and respect when interacting with colleagues, clients, and visitors. * Adheres strictly to all health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment at all times. * Actively listens and seeks clarification when required to ensure full understanding of tasks and instructions. * Proactively identifies and implements necessary adjustments to the worksite to maintain safety and efficiency. * Ensures the manager is informed of all site visitors, including the purpose and duration of their visit. * Displays a conscientious approach to work, taking pride in high standards and quality outcomes. * Reliable and dependable, consistently meeting attendance, punctuality, and performance expectations. * Demonstrates a positive, self‑motivated attitude, taking initiative without needing close supervision. * Physically fit and capable, able to carry out all manual and labour-intensive tasks required for the role. * Groundwork or utility experience * Use of tools and machinery associated with the industry * Full clean driving license * Streetworks (NRSWA) * Cat and Genny * Basic DBS Check
