Civil Design Engineer  £350 - £400 per day Remote working with very occasional site visits Are you a Civil Engineer with experience supporting the design and delivery of BESS, renewable energy or electrical infrastructure projects? We’re looking for a contract Civil Engineer to support the principal contractor delivering a major 300MW BESS project in the Midlands. An external consultancy is producing the civil design package, so your role will be to act as the link between the design team and site. You’ll review designs, check they stack up against site conditions and help resolve technical queries before they become construction problems. What you’ll be doing: Reviewing and verifying civil designs and drawings Resolving technical queries raised by the site team Managing TQs, RFIs and drawing schedules Coordinating with the external civil design consultancy Checking that designs reflect the project requirements and conditions on site Supporting the wider engineering and project delivery teams What we’re looking for: Civil engineering experience within BESS, renewable energy, substations, utilities or electrical infrastructure Experience reviewing civil designs rather than purely producing them A good understanding of construction drawings, TQs and RFIs Confidence working between designers, engineers and site teams The ability to work independently in a predominantly remote role The role can be carried out remotely, although you may occasionally need to visit the Midlands site to get eyes on any particularly tricky queries. You will need to be based in the UK with full RTW to be considered for this contract. Interested? Apply with your latest CV or contact Alex at CRG TEC for a confidential chat
