M&E Quantity Surveyor - Oxford A leading international construction and property consultancy is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their Oxford team. This is an excellent opportunity for an M&E Quantity Surveyor to work within a well-established cost management business delivering technically complex projects for major clients across the built environment. The successful M&E Quantity Surveyor will focus on the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages, supporting projects from early-stage feasibility and cost planning through procurement, construction and final account. Working closely with clients, design teams and specialist contractors, the M&E Quantity Surveyor will provide detailed cost advice while ensuring building services expenditure remains controlled throughout delivery. This position would suit an M&E Quantity Surveyor with consultancy or contractor-side experience who wants to develop within a multidisciplinary environment. The role offers exposure to challenging MEP-led projects, alongside the opportunity to strengthen technical knowledge, client-facing capability and overall commercial responsibility. M&E Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities: Preparing M&E cost plans, estimates and project budgets Reviewing mechanical and electrical designs from a commercial perspective Producing tender documentation and analysing specialist MEP submissions Managing valuations, variations, change control and payment recommendations Monitoring project costs and producing regular financial reports Supporting procurement strategy for mechanical and electrical packages Negotiating final accounts with contractors and specialist subcontractors Working closely with clients, engineers and wider project teams throughout delivery M&E Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Building Services or a related construction discipline Relevant UK experience within M&E Quantity Surveying or building services commercial management Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and associated construction costs Experience across both pre- and post-contract stages Working towards MRICS, MCIOB or another recognised construction qualification would be advantageous Sound knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts Strong numerical, reporting and client-facing communication skills In Return: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum Oxford-based position Exposure to technically challenging M&E projects Support towards professional development and chartership Opportunity to progress within an international consultancy environment If you are an M&E Quantity Surveyor considering your career opportunities, then please contact Dan McEvoy at Brandon James.
