Commercial Assistant – Canary Wharf, London 📍 Location: Canary Wharf, London 📅 Duration: 16 weeks initially, with potential for ongoing work 🏗️ Sector: Construction 🚀 Start: ASAP / Immediate We are currently looking for a Commercial Assistant to join a busy construction project based in Canary Wharf. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their commercial experience within the construction industry. The initial requirement is for 16 weeks, with potential for the position to continue beyond this period for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: * Supporting the commercial and project teams with day-to-day activities * Assisting with subcontractor and supplier documentation * Processing and maintaining commercial records * Assisting with applications, variations and cost information * General document control and commercial administration * Liaising with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers * Maintaining accurate spreadsheets, trackers and project records The Ideal Candidate: * Previous experience in a commercial, administrative or construction-based role would be beneficial * Strong Excel and general IT skills * Excellent attention to detail and organisation * Confident communicating with project teams and subcontractors * Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks * An interest in developing a career within construction commercial management or quantity surveying would be advantageous * Must hold a valid and relevant CSCS card or other recognised site access card/qualification permitting access to the construction site
