GCSE Maths Tutor - Wigan Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting experienced GCSE Maths Tutors to support learners across Wigan! The Opportunity Are you a qualified Maths teacher or experienced tutor looking for flexible 1:1 work? We are looking for enthusiastic GCSE Maths Tutors to provide personalised tuition to secondary-aged learners who require additional support with their education. You will work closely with individual students, identifying gaps in their knowledge and adapting your sessions to help them improve their mathematical understanding, confidence and exam preparation. Position Details: Location: Wigan Position: GCSE Maths Tutor Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Ongoing Experience, Training and Qualifications: Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE Maths Strong knowledge of the GCSE Maths curriculum QTS, PGCE or equivalent desirable Previous 1:1 tutoring experience is advantageous Ability to adapt lessons to individual learning needs Excellent communication and relationship-building skills To be eligible for this role, you must: Hold the Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references Apply Now If you have a passion for Maths and enjoy helping learners overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals, we'd love to hear from you!
