CNC Miller Location: YO62 Position: CNC Miller Machines: Fanuc, Daytron & Mazak Pay: £46,000-£50,000 per annum (£17.92 per hour + shift allowance after 6 months) The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a busy and established manufacturing environment in the YO62 area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled CNC Miller looking for a long-term position with excellent earning potential, structured shifts and opportunities for progression. The successful CNC Miller will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines, producing high-quality components to engineering drawings and maintaining excellent accuracy throughout the manufacturing process. First 6 Months * Monday to Thursday * 7:00am – 5:30pm * £16–£18 per hour * Full training and integration into the business * Opportunity to progress onto shift work after 6 months After 6 Months Following the initial 6-month period, the CNC Miller will move onto one of the following shift patterns: Option 1 – 4 on / 4 off Days * Day shift * £17.92 per hour * £35 shift allowance per shift Option 2 – Monday to Thursday Nights * Night shift * £17.92 per hour * £50 shift allowance per shift Key Responsibilities * Setting and operating CNC milling machines * Working with Fanuc, Daytron and Mazak machinery * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings * Producing components to tight tolerances * Carrying out quality checks and measurements * Tool changes, offsets and machine adjustments * Using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges * Maintaining a clean and safe working environment * Meeting production and quality targets * Ensuring all work is completed to the required specification Qualifications & Experience The ideal CNC Miller will have previous experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment and be confident setting and operating CNC milling machinery. You should have: Proven experience as a CNC Miller Strong experience setting and operating CNC milling machines Experience with Fanuc, Daytron and/or Mazak controls Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Good understanding of machining tolerances and technical specifications Experience carrying out tool changes, offsets and machine adjustments Experience using standard measuring equipment A relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship would be advantageous Excellent attention to detail A reliable and hardworking approach Ability to work independently and as part of a team Benefits Competitive pay of £16–£18 per hour during the first 6 months £17.92 per hour after the initial 6-month period £35 shift allowance on the 4 on / 4 off day shift £50 shift allowance on the Monday–Thursday night shift Structured shift patterns Full training and support Long-term employment with an established manufacturing business Holiday allowance Workplace pension Opportunities for career development and progression Clean, professional and well-organised working environment This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Miller to secure a long-term position with a well-established manufacturing business, attractive earning potential and structured shift patterns.
