Location Walkden M28 Pay £12.71 per hour Weekly pay every Friday Job Type Temporary (ongoing work depending on client requirements) We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Class 2 Left-Hand Road Sweeper Driver / Operative to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with previous Class 2 experience who is confident operating left-hand drive vehicles and enjoys working independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. About the Role As a Road Sweeper Driver / Operative, you will be responsible for operating a left-hand drive road sweeper vehicle across designated routes, helping to maintain roads, construction sites, industrial areas, and public spaces to a high standard. You will work as part of a professional team but should also be comfortable managing your daily duties independently. The role is not solely driving-based and will involve a hands-on approach, including general maintenance and upkeep duties associated with the vehicle and daily operations. Key Responsibilities * Safely operate a Class 2 left-hand drive road sweeper vehicle * Complete scheduled cleansing routes efficiently and to a high standard * Carry out daily walkaround vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks * Empty water tanks and waste containers when required * Ensure the sweeper vehicle is kept clean, maintained, and fuelled * Assist with manual labour and general operational duties as needed * Follow health & safety procedures and company policies at all times * Report defects, hazards, or incidents promptly * Maintain accurate records where required Candidate Requirements * Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence * Valid CPC qualification * Must have the legal right to work in the UK * Experience driving left-hand drive vehicles preferred * Good understanding of vehicle safety and daily checks * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently * Positive attitude and strong work ethic * Willingness to assist with physical/manual duties when required What We Offer * Competitive pay rate * Holiday Pay accrued in line with current statutory legislation * on going work * Monday to Friday working pattern – weekends free * Full-time hours with consistent work * Temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate * Supportive team environment * Initial shadowing and training provided * Opportunity to join an established and growing operation How to Apply If you are an experienced road sweeper operative looking for stable, long-term work with an immediate start available, we would like to hear from you.
