Welder Fabricator – Structural Steel Location: Birtley Pay: £16.50 per hour, overtime paid 1.3x, 1.5x and 2.0x Job Type: Full-time, 38 hours per week We are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder or Welder Fabricator to join a busy team in Birtley. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder with a strong background in structural steel and experience working to industry standards. The Role You will be responsible for fabricating and welding structural steelwork, working from engineering drawings and ensuring all work is completed to the required quality and safety standards. There are additional tasks with this role that will require the use of saws, overhead cranes and paint applicators. For this we are looking a candidate with great attitude who is willing to get stuck in and learn new skills to support the ongoing operation. The Ideal Candidate * Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator, preferably within structural steel * Strong MIG/MAG welding and fabrication skills * Experience working to BS EN 1090 standards * Ability to read and work from engineering drawings * Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work * Able to work independently and as part of a team * Reliable and safety-conscious Desirable Qualifications * FLT licence – advantageous * Overhead crane certification – advantageous What’s on Offer * £16.50 per hour * Full-time position * Overtime regularly available * Long-term opportunity for the right candidate * Work with an established structural steel team * Immediate start available for suitable applicants If you're an experienced Welder or Welder Fabricator with structural steel experience and a background working to BS EN 1090, we'd like to hear from you
