Hgv Technician

We are looking for a skilled HGV Technician / Mechanic to join our clients team near Croydon, London. This is a permenant position. 45 hours per week | Monday to Friday £45,000 - £50,300 per year DOE. The Person: * NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance (or time served). * Proven experience in commercial vehicle repair and servicing. * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with knowledge of electronics and hydraulics. * Ability to read wiring diagrams and use workshop IT systems. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Willingness to travel across the UK and work overtime or on a callout rota when required. * Comfortable working in confined spaces and occasionally lifting heavy items. The Role: * Diagnose and repair faults on chassis and mounted equipment. * Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications. * Carry out body and chassis repairs and complete all work to company standards. * Maintain accurate records and enter job details into the DE computer systems. * Liaise with customers professionally and ensure timely completion of scheduled maintenance. * Adhere to all health and safety procedures and conduct risk assessments where required. * Support quality assurance processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
