Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - PR25 Area Location: PR25 Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Long-Term Position Hours: Full-Time, Term Time Only Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive school in the PR25 area from September. This long-term opportunity is ideal for an experienced HLTA looking for their next challenge. It is also an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who would like to gain additional classroom experience, develop their teaching skills, and build confidence before securing a permanent teaching position. Key Responsibilities: Deliver planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher Support teaching and learning across a range of year groups Work with individual pupils and small groups to raise attainment Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment activities Promote positive behaviour and create an engaging learning environment Support pupils with varying learning needs to achieve their full potentialRequirements: HLTA qualification or equivalent experience Previous experience working within a primary school setting Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills Excellent communication and organisational abilities Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain oneWhat We Offer: Long-term role with the potential for extension Supportive school leadership and staff team Valuable experience for aspiring and Early Career Teachers Competitive rates of pay Ongoing professional development opportunitiesIf you are an enthusiastic HLTA or an ECT looking to gain further classroom experience, we would love to hear from you.
